Retail Traders Are Getting Smarter About Risk — But Psychology Still Wins

In collaboration with Working in Support of Education (W!se), FoundersTrade has awarded a $10,000 financial literacy grant to Queens Gateway to Health Sciences Secondary School following their first-place victory in the annual Student Stock Showdown challenge.

The 13-week competition engaged hundreds of high school students across New York City in hands-on paper trading simulations. Students practiced portfolio construction, diversified asset allocation, risk management, and balance sheet analysis using real-time market data provided by FoundersTrade.

The grant will directly fund Queens Gateway’s business lab, expanding access to economic coursework and technology resources for future graduating classes.
